1.It is an irony that the ship breaking workers at ALANG in INDIA are being subjected to asbestos without knowing the repercussion of the effect.
2.To combat the evil and to bring awareness an organisation BANI:BAN ASBESTOS NETWORK OF INDIA is working towards the aim of spreading the awareness about the evil effect of asbestos exposure and to bring erring companies to task.
3.A number of ships are being diverted to India and Bangladesh for ship breaking due to availability of cheap labour and thus exposing these personnel to hazardous diseases.
4.Let's all augument the effort of such organisations to see that the erring companies and personnel are brought to book.
