Wet Method for Removal of Asbestos

1. A new method for removal of asbestos has been approved by Environmental Protection Agency (EPA)which has authorized the use of a controversial method for asbestos cleanup and disposal.

2. The method is known as "wet method" and it consists of a building being doused with a foam substance.

3. The building or structure is then torn down. The aim of using wet foam is to prevent asbestos dust and particles from being kicked off during the deconstruction of the building which requires constant supervision.

4. The destroyed structure is carted off to a landfill for which authorization for holding asbestos contaminants is available.

5 A number of ways exists for asbestos removal but the wet method has been continually debated and several watchdog organizations have expressed their concerns for the said method.
